FAN FAQ

I am photographing my baby with a fixed lens and I use F1.4.  My photographs are mostly soft focused.  I wanted to have the background blurry.  How can I create a photo with my baby in focus.  I also like that part of the face is soft but right now if I focus on the eye only the eye will be sharp.

This is the character of this lens or better of this aperture.   When you use this large aperture you will have very little sharpness.

I suggest that you try to photograph using a smaller F-stop.   Try a few shots with an F2.8 and if you still want more sharpness use F3.5 or F4.

The F1.4 will provide for a great shot when you want to do something like this:

baby hand, baby photo

Create a soft and loving mood
